Key West

Bill Welzien sends this information about the Swim Around Key West.

The 29 Annual Swim Around Key West (12.5 miles) will be held on June 25th, 2005. We will begin at approx 9:15 AM to get the best tides. The application is currently on the southernmostrunners.com web site. We dispensed with the 6 man relay and now have the solo event and added a 2 man relay to the traditional 3 man relay.

A few days ago I spoke with Tim Johnson from Buzzard's Bay Ma. He is writing a book on long distance swimming. I have done the swim here in Key West 18 times. I also have inherited the swim from the founder Anna Fugina Pennella who has moved out of the area. Last year was the first year I was the director. Tim Johnson mentioned your web site
